Edna Mae McCloskey, 83, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020, in Sullivan, MO.

She was born on January 31, 1936, a daughter of the late LeRoy Gold and Mary Alice (Guisewhite) Cotner. She married Jessie T. McCloskey who preceded her in death.

Edna was a former resident of Red Level, AL, who survived breast cancer at the age of 69. She started working for Champion Parts Rebuilders in 1972, in St. Charles, IL. She also worked for them in Fort Worth, TX, St. Louis, MO, and Beach Creek, PA. She then retired in 1993.

She loved to crochet afghans for her family and friends.

She is survived by her four children; Larry McCloskey (Stacey), David McCloskey (Sarah), James McCloskey (Peggy), and Cynthia Hawkins (Harry); 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Cotner; two brothers, Bob and James Cotner.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, LeRoy T. McCloskey; four siblings, Faye Sherman, Norma Inks, Elmer Cotner, and Richard Cotner.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Home, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at the Funeral Home, with The Reverend Doctor Renee Ford officiating.
