Elizabeth C. Young Custer, 96, of Bellefonte, died Saturday, July 2,2005 at Centre Crest Nursing Home.
She was born on December 25,1908 in Boggs Twp. to the late Clayton and Laura Fisher Lucas.
On November 24,1927 in Cumberland, MD, she married Malcolm O. Young who preceded her in death on November 2,1977. She later married Harold R. Custer on May 16,1983 in Bellefonte, who also preceded her in death on May 14,1991.
She worked at Penn State for 25 years in the Food Service Dept. retiring in 1972.
She attended the Hublersburg School.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.
She is survived by a son, Malcolm E. Young of Bend,OR,; two sisters, Louella Wian of Milesburg and Dorothy Conaway of Bellefonte,; one brother, Walter Lucas of Howard,; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and three gr-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son Philip J. Young on June 24,1948,; three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 11:00 am to Noon at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services PC.(formerly the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home) 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home with the Rev. Barbara Ammann officiating. Burial will be at the Centre County Memorial Park.
