Elizabeth Marie Pierce, age 67 of State College passed onto her next journey on Tuesday, August 18, 2020.  She was born November 11, 1952 to the late Jack and Margaret Pierce.  Liz attended Bradford High School before attending The Pennsylvania State University where she graduated with a bachelors degree in Hotel, Restaurant Management.  She spent the majority of her professional career as a Human Resources Director here in State College.  Formerly with the Hotel State College and then recently at the Centre Area Transit Authority.

Liz loved people, all people.  She remained a fierce supporter of all her past employees as well as her current ones.  Working tirelessly in her field for 20 years armed with her unrelenting drive and beaming smile, she single handedly took it upon herself to make the lives she touched better.  Never differentiating between stray cats or humans, she remained an outstretched wing providing shelter to all.

Liz is survived by the first and last love of her life, her husband Joe Schrantz and her sons Mac and Adam, both of whom she was immensely proud of.
