Elsie B. White, 73, of Lock Haven, died Friday, October 3, 2003 at the Lock Haven Hospital.
She was born March 19, 1930 in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Edward and Louise White.
During her lifetime she was a homemaker and for many years served as a church secretary.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Selinsgrove, and a social member of the American Legion.
She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed bus trips and all kinds of travel whenever possible.
She was married to the Rev. James Gilliam and is survived by a daughter, Brenda L. Gilliam of Lock Haven; a sister Helen and brother in law Gary Sanders of Forest Hill, MD; and three granddaughters, Amanda, Christina, and Cassandra Englert of Mill Hall. She is also survived by a long time close friend Edward Wilson of Lock Haven.
She was preceded in death by a son James E. Gilliam Jr.
At her request there will be no public visitation or memorial service, and as she requested, her body was donated to Humanity Gifts Registry, Hershey School of Medicine for the advancement of anatomical study.
