Ernest Richard "Rick" Nyman, 47, of rural Julian, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his home.

He was born July 17, 1966, a son of Brenda Kaye Confer Eyer Young of Julian and the late Ernest Blair Nyman.

On November 3, 1996 he married Lauretta Mae Keen who survives at home.

Rick graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1984.

Earlier in life he attended Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte. He enjoyed raising flowers and plants, camping, carpenter work, and had an extreme fascination with wolves.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a sister Suzette Biggans of Milesburg, two step daughters, Lynn Marie Keen Engle (Zack) of Flemington and Elizabeth Aukerman (Donnie) of Centre Hall; a step son Robert McElwee of State College; and five step grandchildren, Macy and Troy Gardner Jr., Paige Steinbaugher, Shannon Schillaci and Ryan Aukerman; and one step great grandson Dominic Schillaci.

Friends will be received from noon to 2:00 p. m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service P. C. 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall The funeral will follow immediately at 2:00 at the funeral home, with the Reverend Michael R. Hoskins officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Upper Georges Valley Road, Spring Mills, PA
