Ethel Poorman Hartley, 94, of Centre Hall, died Sunday, December 19, 2010, Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte.
She was born August 15, 1916, at Zion, a daughter of the late Clyde and Elizabeth Breth Poorman.
On March 8, 1944, she married Bruce Leroy Hartley (Boop) who preceded her in death February 28, 2008.
Mrs. Hartley was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Centre Hall.
Surviving her are two daughters, Betty Wolfe and her husband Don of Elkland, and Brucette Brown and her husband Myron of York; five grandchildren, and one great granddaughter
Ethel was employed as a cook at Coxe's restaurant in Bellefonte, and as a housekeeper for the George Stover and the Lois Crepe families of Centre Hall. She also worked at Gettig Engineering at Spring Mills.
She was an avid quilter and baker and was known for her Sticky Buns.
Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral service will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Reverend Ken Litwiller officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, West Church St. Centre Hall.
