Eva J. "Dolly" Garman Cox, 72, of Centre Hall, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte.
She was born Nov. 6, 1932 in Mercy Hospital, at Altoona, a daughter of the late David and Vida Garman.
On November 26, 1952 she married Donald C. Cox who preceded her in death on May 9, 2003.
She was a homemaker, gardener and enjoyed cooking. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by four sons, Dan C. Cox and his wife Joan of Centre Hall, Thomas I. Cox and his wife Pamela of Boalsburg, Bruce A. Cox and C. Douglas Cox and his wife Diane of Hollidaysburg, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren and two sisters Syd Lamon of Tenn. and Theresa McCaready of Hollidaysburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and an infant daughter Deborah May Cox.
Friends will be received from 5 - 6 p. m. Friday, July 22, 2005, followed immediately by a memorial service at Juniata Valley Gospel Church, Lower Reese Road, R. D. # 3, Hollidaysburg, PA with the Rev. David McCaulley officiating. Friends will also be received from 2 - 4 p. m. Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at the Fairview Cemetery in Millheim.
