Evelyn F. Snyder, 76, of Centre Hall, PA, died Monday, March 8, 2004 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
She was born Feb. 16, 1928 in Woodward, PA, a daughter of the late Miles and Florence Guisewhite Stover.
On June 9, 1946 she married Marlin E. Snyder who survives at home.
Mrs. Snyder was employed at Laurelton State School and Centre as an attendant, and at Westerly Parkway Manor as nurses aide. She later went to work for BiLo Food Store and prior to her illness worked at Giant Food Store.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Centre Hall and a member os Sugar Valley Indian Scouts Camping Group. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She especially enjoyed camping, bird and sqirrel watching, and earlier in life was an avid reader.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney E. and His wife Susan E. Snyder of Hartleton, and Jeffrey L and his wife Susan J. Snyder of Mifflinburg; 4 grandchildren Bethany and Jennifer Snyder, Eric Snyder and his wife Heather, Tom Snyder and His wife Brenda; 1 great granddaughter Savannah Snyder and a step great granddaughter Jacqueline Weibel; and 2 brothers, Robert Stover of Mifflinburg and Gerald Stove of Jacksonville.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snyder was preceded in death by a sister Charlotte Auman
Friends will be received on Friday, March 12, 2004; from 3 to 4 P. M. at Mark D. Heintzelman funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. A memorial service will be will be held at 4:00 p. m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Russell L. Sauerwein officiating.
Burial will be in Woodward Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
