Florence Edith Weaver's Obituary
Florence Edith Weaver, 102, of Riverwoods Manor, Lewisburg, formerly of Lemont and Linden Hall, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Riverwoods.
She was born October 1, 1902 in Gregg Twp., Spring Mills, PA, a daughter of the late Adam Perry and Anna Susan Vanada Heckman.
On December 25, 1920, in the Evangelical Church in Millheim, she married Clarence O. Weaver who died March 15, 1979.
She attended Spring Mills area schools through tenth grade.
Mrs. Weaver worked in the housing division at Penn State University, retiring after more than 30 years of service.
She especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren, gardening and studying her Bible.
She was a member of the Spring Creek Presbyterian Church in Lemont and also attended Gatesburg Lutheran Church, Gatesburg, PA.
She is survived by one daughter Florence L. Ishler of Milton, PA; 3 sons, Randolph H. Weaver of State College, Clarence E. Weaver of Marengo, and Carl H. Weaver of Linden Hall; 7 Grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandsons.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson Rudolph Ronald Weaver, a granddaughter Amy Lou Weaver; 7 sisters, Pearl Vanada, Amy Moyer, Grace Wert, Alice Dutrow, Clara Tressler, Gladys Hess, and Sara E. Hartswick; and a brother Archie Heckman.
Friends will be received at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Home, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004. The funeral service will be at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. David Meyer officiating.
Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA
The family will provide the flowers and in lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions may be made to the Memorial fund of Riverwoods, 3201 River Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837, or the Spring Creek Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 31, Lemont, PA 16851 or to Gatesburg Lutheran Church, 1924 W. Gatesburg Road, Warriors Mark, PA 16877.
