Florian Charles Pawlicki, 83, of State College, died on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Centre Crest Nursing Center in Bellefonte.
He was born on October 19, 1924, in Shamokin, the son of the late Walter and Constance Pawlicki.
He resided in Shamokin until relocating to Williamsport where he was employed at both Williamsport General and Divine Providence Hospitals. He was later employed at Lowry Electric in the shipping dept. until his retirement in 1980. He then spent time in Snow Shoe until moving to State College in 1987.
He was a prayerful and devout communicant of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a proud Democrat and peace activist. He was a well liked and respected citizen of State College.
He is survived by a brother-in-law John Leffler of Virginia; several neices, nephews and a host of dear friends who will sorely miss him.
Friends will be received from 10 to 10:30 a. m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a. m. with Monsignor David A. Lockard as Celebrant. Internment will follow at Centre County Memorial Park.
