Obituary

Frances Mae Burris Grove King, 79, of Bellefonte, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte.
She was born May 14, 1931 in Potter Township, a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth Bible Burris.
On July 20, 1949 she married Wayne N. Grove who preceded her in death on February 22, 1986. On April 10, 1992 she married Miles King who survives at home.
She was a long time member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Centre Hall, and while living in the Bellefonte area was a member of the Buffalo Run United Methodist Church.
Frances was a 1949 graduate of Centre Hall - Potter High School.
Mrs. King was employed in food service at the Pennsylvania State University retiring in 1991.
Among the things she enjoyed most were spending time with family, crocheting, shopping outings, and working on crossword puzzles.
Surviving her are two daughters, Peggy Moore and her husband Michael of Pennsylvania Furnace, and Kitty Haupt and her husband Kenneth of Spring Mills; one son David W. Grove and his wife Sheryl of Centre Hall; one sister Twila Mothersbaugh and her husband Lynn of Centre Hall; two brothers Fred Burris and his wife Miriam of Centre Hall and Larry Burris and his wife Patricia of Centre Hall; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one step daughter, Connie Peters and her husband Robert of Bellefonte, and one step son, Russ King and his wife Eileen of Spring Mills.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Ruth Puff, Rosella Steiner, Thelma Fetterolf, Sarah Nerhood, and Harry Burris.
At her request funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family with the Reverend Duane Bardo and her grandson Ben Haupt officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery in Centre Hall.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Buffalo Run United Methodist Church, 1667 Buffalo Run Road, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
