Francis Perry Myers, 72, of State College, died on Monday, August 4th, 2008 at Centre Crest Nursing Center in Bellefonte.
Born in Williamsport on January 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Harry and Nora (Fleagle) Myers.
On January 1st, 1965, he was married to the former Mary Weaver, who survives.
He had previously worked for and retired from Penn-Dot as a Road Construction worker.
He had also attended State College Assembly of God church and was a member of the National Rifleman's Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brian P. Myers and his wife Kathy of rural Centre Hall and Daniel Myers of Bellefonte; one daughter, Betty Myers of Bellefonte; three brothers, William Myers of New York, David Myers of Morann, and George Myers of Arizona; five sisters, Olive Jean Fike of State College, Helen Johnson of State College, Marcene Kanouff of Iowa, Martha Bowman of Nebraska, and Doris Eirich of Osceola Mills; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Terry Lynn Myers; one great-granddaughter, Tiahanna Myers; one brother, Lee Ray Myers; and two sisters, Sylvia Kyler and Lelia Collar.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, August 8, 2008 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College with the Reverend Richard Gilbaugh officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the services. Interment will be at the Centre County Memorial Park.
