Gail V. Dugan, 99, of State College died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 30, 1918 in Warriors Mark, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Elsie (Wrye) Barto.

In 1938, she married Elwood H. Horner who preceded her in death on December 3, 1966, On February 12, 1977; she married Harry J. Dugan who preceded her in death on December 12, 1993.

Gail was employed by Audio Visual Services at The Penn State University, where she retired in 1977 after 21 years of service.

She was a member of the Nittany Bible Church of Pennsylvania Furnace.

Some of Gail's favorite hobbies were reading, painting ceramics, and traveling to different places. She was a good Christian mother who loved family gatherings and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.

Gail is survived by one son, Terry (Susan) Horner of Gatesburg; two daughters, Marlene (Dave) Kling of PA Furnace and Donna (Harry) Bathurst of Altoona; two sisters, Joyce (Don) Fink of Sinking Valley and Leona Smith of Marengo; two brothers, Eddie (Jenny) Barto of Gatesburg and Donald (Ruth) Barto of Quakertown, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren, and 4 great- great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister Vivian Swortwood and a brother Merrill Barto.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA with Pastor Joe Rose officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Centre County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Gail's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
