Gary Owen Patterson, 90, died on Saturday, August 15th, 2026, in Bellefonte.  Born on May 22nd, 1936 in Monongahela, PA (Washington County), he was the son of the late Curtis J. Patterson and Martha (Vinton) Patterson. On June 27th, 1965, Gary married Marcia Lynne (Becker) in Wallingford, CT, who survives. Gary's passing ends a marriage of 61 years. He will be sadly missed by a special friend, Jane B. Van Heyst.  

Gary earned a B.S. degree from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University. He formerly served as Vice President with First National Bank in Baltimore, MD. He was affiliated with the Centre Hills Country Club, Pi Kappa Alpha at Penn State University and the Penn State Alumni Association. He also was active in the State College Boro where he earned a Record of Recognition of Service Award for his service and unwavering dedication. 

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date at Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home in State College. Gary will be laid to rest at Spring Creek Presbyterian Cemetery in State College at the convenience of the family.
