Gary M. Weaver, 63, of State College, PA, died Saturday, February 19, 2005 at his residence.
He was born November 29, 1941 in State College a son of the late Floyd Elmer and Rosella Ann Miller Weaver.
He graduated from State College High School.
Earlier in life Mr. Weaver worked for Pearce Milk Company. He also owned and operated a lawn service and snow removal business. In January 2004 he retired from DHIA as a truck driver.
Mr. Weaver was a member of Woodycrest United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher. He was also a social member of State College American Legion Post 245.
He was an avid sports enthusiast, but especially enjoyed hunting and golfing.
He is survived by his fiance, Viola Smeltzer; 2 daughters, Wanda K. Wyles of State College and Ginger S. Millard of Navarre, FL; 1 son, Mark E. Weaver of Pennsylvania Furnace; 5 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Beverly J. McClarren of Port Matilda, Sally Laird, and Sandra Lee Lyle of both of State College; 3 brothers, Sherman K. Weaver of Orange City, FL, Wayne M. Weaver of State College and his twin brother, Barry W. Weaver of Centre Hall. He is also survived by 3 step daughters, Linda Kochenderfer of East Waterford, Deborah Pegher of Dubois, and Tina Setzler of Lewistown; 3 step sons, Samuel Campbell, of Philipsburg, Toby Campbell and Joseph Campbell both of Lewistown; 19 step grandchildren, and 14 step great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Philip LeRoy and Carl Stanley Weaver.
Friends will be received form 6 - 8 p. m. Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Inc. 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA
