Obituary

Genevieve "Jenny" L. Ruble, 95, of Bellefonte, died on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the Centre Crest Nursing Center.
She was born October 16, 1912, in Centre Hall, a daughter of the late John B. and Sallie Hoy Ruble
She is survived by a niece, Nona Klinefelter and her husband Robert of Runville Road, with whom she resided and their two daughters Kellie and Tina, both of Bellefonte; a nephew, John Ruble of Houserville, and his daughter Jami and son Justin; a sister in law, Alice Ruble of Runville, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by eight sisters: Ruth M. Tinucci, Dorothy E. Neff, Mary Catherine White, Luella Mildred Ruble, Pearl Ruble Ray, Gertrude C. Ruble, Ethel Lois Ruble, and Estella L. Ruble; and three brothers, Franklin Hoy Ruble, Donald A. and Joseph B. Ruble.
Miss Ruble was a graduate of the Centre Hall Potter High School, class of 1931 and later from Leary's Private School of Shorthand in Baltimore, Maryland.
Early in life, she worked at Kerlin's Poultry Farm in Centre Hall as a secretary. During World War II, she did some clerical work at the Penn State Central Extension. She then went on to work at the People's National Bank in State College (now the Omega Bank), working in every aspect of banking and retired in January of 1978 as the Secretary to the President.
She enjoyed Reading and doing crosswords and other puzzles.
