Obituary

Geoffrey N. Butz, 55, of Spring Mills, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.
Born on December 23, 1954 in Harrisburg, he is the son of Lorraine M. (Kramer) Butz of Palmyra and the late Robert W. Butz.
On July 21, 2006 in Centre Hall, he was married to Sandra J. Ronk, who survives at home.
He was a 1972 graduate of Cherry Hill High School, Cherry Hill, NJ
Mr. Butz worked for Pennfield in Mount Joy, PA until September 2001. He then moved to Centre County, where he worked for the Centre Hall Farm Store and was a school bus driver until April 2010.
He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, boating, farming, working on his tractors and being with his family.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his children, Sharon L. Butz of Harrisburg, Daniel R. Butz (Heather) and their two children, Tyler and Ethan Butz of Elizabethtown, Rebecca A. Hart (Joshua) and their two children, Kaylee and Kelsee of Aaronsburg, Joshua A. Ronk and his companion, Casey Ghaner and their child Jaylen of Lemont, and Jeffrey A. Butz at home; also surviving, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding him in death was his father, Robert W. Butz on July 14, 2001, and two brothers, Robert Jr. on October 14, 1983 and James Alan on March 30, 2000.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall and also from 10 AM until time of the Funeral Services on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will begin at 11 AM on Thursday, at the funeral home, with the Reverend Michael Covalt officiating. Interment will follow at Heckman's Cemetery, Spring Mills.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a savings account at Northwest Savings Bank, 219 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA 16828, to establish a fund for his son, Jeffery Alan Butz.
