George W. Conrad, 77 of Pine Grove Mills, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at his residence.

He was born May 27, 1936, at Warriors Mark, a son of the late Roy Wilson and Lillian Mae Biddle Conrad.

On September 12, 1959 he married Janet Henninger Conrad who preceded him in death on September 20, 2008.

George attended Warriors Mark and Franklin Township Schools and was a high school graduate.

Earlier in life Mr. Conrad was employed as a Horticultural worker at Penn State University from 1954 to 1986. After his retirement he was employed as a CATA bus driver from 1986 to 1992.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Grove Mills. He enjoyed walking and woodworking.

Surviving are a daughter Amy Beth Conrad of Pine Grove Mills; two sons, Allen Scott Conrad of Ohio; and Andrew G. Conrad of Florida; one sister, Nancy McMullen of Tyrone, PA; one brother Donald Conrad of Florida; and seven grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife George was preceded in death by a sister Janet Smith.

A memorial service will be held 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 227 W. Pine Grove Road, Pine Grove Mills, PA 16868, with Reverend Carl Campbell and Reverend Kelley Baxter, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
