George "Joe" Edward Exline, Jr. 45, of Bellefonte, died, Friday, Feb. 16, 2007 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.
He was born October 17, 1961, in Douglas County, Nebraska a son of Mary Cutrer of St. Joe LA, and the late George Edward Exline Sr.
On Feb. 14, 2003, at Community Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA he married Melissa Lynn Lear Exline who survives at home.
George served in the U. S. Navy from 1981 - 1986, and worked as a cook in several restaurants, most recently at Burger King, in Bellefonte.
He was a member of Community Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA,
He was an avid NASCAR fan and especially admired Russ Wallace and Tony Stewart. He also enjoyed painting cars. An avid football fan, he followed Nebraska and the LSU Tigers as well as the New Orleans Saints and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Other survivors include his daughter, Makayla Swendroski of Nebraska, his maternal grandfather Edward Cutrer of St. Joe, LA; one sister Lori Branscom of Swartz, LA; two brothers, Randall Exline of Nebraska and Jeffrey Wells of LA; four nephews, Christian, Zach and Nathan Wells and Fred Exline; two half sisters, and his mother and father in law Orville and Mary Hockenberry, and his brother in law, Bobby Hockenberry all of Bellefonte.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Jane Cutrer.
Friends will be received from 5:00 to 6:00 p. m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will be at 6:00 p. m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Alex Dyakiw officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
