George Blaine Jordan, 68 of rural Spring Mills, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.
He was born July 6, 1943, at Spring Mills, a son of Gladys Stricker Jordan who survives at Colyer and the late Charles Jordan.
On July 8, 1966 he married Dorothy E. Harpster who survives at home.
Mr. Jordan was employed as an auto body mechanic for over forty years having worked for Rider Motors, Landmark Dodge, and Lake Auto.
George enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. His family was his passion, especially his grandchildren, and he always put his family before anything else. His unconditional love, guidance and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife is a daughter Cindy Jordan and her husband Todd of Centre Hall; two sons, Jeff Jordan and his fiance Kerri Cole of Bellefonte, and Todd W. Jordan and his wife Ang of Aaronsburg; five grandchildren, Alisha Jordan, Taylor Jordan, Mikala Jordan, Luke Jordan and Landon Jordan; two brothers, Jim and Ronnie Jordan both of Centre Hall; one step brother, Olin Stricker, of Centre Hall and a niece Theresa Jordan of Spring Mills.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Ray Jordan and a nephew Eugene Jordan.
Friends will be received from 6 - 8 p. m. Monday, December 5, 2011, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall. The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a. m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery, Church Hill Road, Colyer.
