George Raymond Spicer, 87, of State College, died Wednesday, April 6,2005 at Brookline Village the Fairways.
He was born in Milesburg, PA on November 20,1917 to the late George and Bessie Walker Spicer.
In 1950, he married Alma Pressler who survives at home.
He was employed at Penn State University for 35 years working in the Dairy Barns and retiring in 1979.
He was a member of Grays United Methodist Church.
He was an avid gardner.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by one son, Dennis Spicer of Centre Hall,; two daughters, Georgeanna Hillard and her husband Richard of Lemont, Kathy Barr and her husband Kevin of Port Matilda,; one brother, Lloyd Spicer of Pleasant Gap,; three sisters, Ethel Long of Centre Hall, Alice Millinder of State College, Mary Rockey of Bellefonte,; and five grandchildren,; he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Sunday, April 10,2005 at the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am at the funeral home on Monday, April 11,2005 with the Rev. Carl Hill officiating.
