Obituary

Gerald R. Robinson of Hummelstown, State College, and Quakertown,died Friday, July 8, 2005.
He was born January 11, 1932 in Jeannette, PA, a son of the late William McKinley and Mary M. Allwine Robinson.
He married D. Joan Higbee formerly of State College. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters; Susan A. Robinson of Arnold, CA, Mary L. Shutt of Wellsboro, Carrie J. Cake of Hummelstown, and three granddaughters.
Mr. Robinson served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Gerald was a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1953 and Master of Science degree in Forestry in 1959. Mr. Robinson was a Forester and a Regional Parks Director for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources, retiring after 35 years of service.
His greatest interests were preservation of the environment, fishing, bird watching and walking in the woods. He loved all nature's creatures great and small.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Paula Curtis-Burn officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, State College, PA.
