After a three-year battle with cancer, Gladis O. Reese, surrounded by her loving family went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2006. Born February 14, 1939 in Newark New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late George Gearhart and Gertrude, who survives in Milesburg. On August 14, 1955 she married Kenneth C. Reese Sr., who survives at home. She worked at Kauffman's Landscaping as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Mark Luthern Church in Pleasant Gap. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, antiques, the beach and reading. During her time of illness, she enjoyed watching T.V. and spending time with her cat, Briar. She is survived by four children and five grandchildren. Ken C. Reese Jr. of Pleasant Gap and his daughters Heidi and Brittany. James Reese of Centre Hall and his son Ryan and wife Penny. David Reese and wife Tammie and daughter Alexandra of Salisbury MD. Stephanie Reese and daughter Abigail of Centre Hall. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 p. m. Sunday, April 30, 2006, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 160 N. Main St., Pleasant Gap, PA. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p. m. at the church. Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Mark Luthern Church 160 N. Main St. Pleasant Gap, PA 16823.
