Obituary

Glenn Edward Sokol passed away on January 22, 2021, as a result of tongue and jaw cancer. He was born on April 8, 1958, at Kearney, Nebraska.

He is survived by his parents, Edward and Annette Sokol of State College; special dear friend, Wendy Snetsinger of State College; brothers, Fred (Cindy) Sokol of Elkhart, IN and Max (Tara) Sokol of Naperville, IL; sister, Roxanne (Adam) Sokol Corson of State College, as well as nieces Ella Corson of State College, Carlyn and Morgan Sokol of Naperville, IL, Riann Sokol Greek (Mike) of N. St. Paul, MN; and nephews Chase Sokol of Omaha, NE and A.j. Corson of State College.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents in Nebraska and his special friend, Bob Snetsinger of State College.

To Glenn no one was a stranger but someone he knew from the moment they met. Glenn enjoyed laughter and conversation.

Glenn was very creative. He enjoyed cooking and was talented making small sculptures using electronic and computer parts. He loved the outdoors, all types of animals and mowing lawns with his John Deere tractor. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Services and burial will be in Nebraska at the convenience of the family. A remembrance for Glenn will be held in State College, PA in the coming spring or summer.
