Gloria J. Ring, 52, of Pleasant Gap, formerly of State College, died on Monday, June 2, 2003, in Walker Twp., off state Route 64 as a result of an automobile accident.
Born on Aug.1, 1950 in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late Willis and Pearl Confer Johnson.
On June 29, 1968 she married Charles G."Chuck" Ring, who died on Aug. 31, 1999.
She was a 1968 graduate of State College Area High School.
She was a caregiver for Help Mate and Visiting Angels in State College. She also worked at Waffles and Cakes in Pleasant Gap.
She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of State College.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Stover and her husband, Chris, of Milesburg, Penny Ring and her friend, Andy Jeffers of Bellefonte; two sons, Kenneth Ring, of Pleasant Gap, and Dennis Ring and his fiancee, Patti McVay, of Stormstown; two sisters, Dorothy Parker, of State College, and Donna Huntington and her husband,Elmer of Jersey Shore; a brother, Willis Johnson Jr. and his wife, Barb, of Pleasant Gap; and four grandchildren, Tyler, C.J. Jasa and Abbie.
Visitation will be from noon to to 2 p.m., Thursday at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home Inc., 1034 Benner Pike, College Twp.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor James Gray officiating.
Burial will be in Meyers Cemetery, Benner Twp.
