Goldie K. Ishler, 94, of rural Spring Mills, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College.
She was born Nov. 1, 1910, in Julian, a daughter of the late James F. and Elizabeth Long Kline.
On Feb. 17, 1930 she married Carl H. Ishler who preceded her in death on September 22, 1994.
Mrs. Ishler graduated from high school and was a homemaker most of her life.
She enjoyed her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and earlier in life enjoyed fishing.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Boalsburg and attended New Hope Lutheran Church at Spring Mills.
Mrs. Ishler is survived by one son Ronald E. Ishler and his wife June of rural Spring Mills, and grandchildren Allen and Holly Ishler and their children Christopher and Heather; Jeanne Ishler and Richard Casper and children, Brandi Shawver and Devon Hamilton; Patty and Randy Wolff and their children Michelle and Zachary; and Sue and Jeff Ayers and their children, Nichole and her husband Justin West and Jon Ayers; and one sister Shirley Gilligan of State College.
In addition to her parents and husband,Goldie was preceded in death by 3 brothers Royal Kline, Wayne Kline, and Clair Kline and Harold Connor who was raised with her family, and 4 sisters, Anne Corl, Helen Kline, Thelma Struble and Freda Straley.
Friends will be received from 9:00 to 11:00 a. m. Friday, December 31, 2004 at the New Hope Lutheran Church, 119 Cobblestone Court (off Route 45)just west of Spring Mills, PA. The funeral will be at 11:00 a. m. at the church with the Rev. Gerald Krum officiating. Burial will be in the Boalsburg Cemetery, Boalsburg, PA
