Grace I. Homan, 76, of rural Centre Hall, died Sunday, November 14, 2004, at her residence.
Grace was a 1945 graduate of Centre Hall Potter High School. She was a dedicated mother and worked at Hills Department Store in State College for 12 years.
Mrs. Homan was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Centre Hall.
She was an avid reader, and enjoyed quilting, playing cards and putting puzzles together.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Susan C. Shaffer of Jacksonville and Diane O'Hara and her husband Tim of rural Centre Hall; 7 sons, Gary N. Homan and his wife Fran of rural Centre Hall, William B. Homan and his wife Dorothy of Warriors Mark, Lynn R. Homan and his wife Sharon of Howard, Roger A. Homan and his wife Vickie of rural Centre Hall, James G. Homan and his wife Deb of rural Spring Mills, Douglas E. Homan and his wife Vicki of rural Centre Hall, and Steven Homan and his wife Beth of rural Spring Mills; 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and 3 sisters, Sara Wagner of Hemet CA, Ruth Garman of Centre Hall, and Faye Bloom of Hemet CA.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Becky Ann Homan, 3 sisters, Nellie Fultz, Mary Homan and Flo Martz, and 2 brothers George Hackett and Rush Hackett.
At her request there will be no public visitation. The funeral service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, at 3:30 p. m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2004 with The Rev. Russell L. Sauerwein, and the Rev. Dean Rupe officiating.
Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, West Church St. Centre Hall, PA, at the convenience of the family.
