Obituary

Harold Robert "Bob" Cole, 89, of State College, died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center.
He was born in Woonsocket, RI on August 28, 1917 to the late Harold Raynor and Marie Elizabeth Johnson Cole.
On September 28, 1940 he married Dorothy Alma Shepard who preceded him in death on July 3, 1999.
He earned an B.A. degree in English from the University of Rhode Island, and a M.A. degree in English from Clark University.
He served in the US Army Air Corps with a Civilian Rank of Captain as an Aerial Photography Instructor.
He had varied careers as a photographer, landscaper, English teacher, chef, and music reviewer/critic whose reviews of the Nittany Valley Symphony and Music at Penns Woods concert series were featured in the CDT.He volunteered for 10 years at WPSU in the Classical Music Dept., and also held classes covering Swedish music and Viking history.
He especially enjoyed sharing his love for photography with family and friends.
He is survived by numerous family members around the country and abroad.
Visitation and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
