Harold D. Decker, 71, of Reedsville and Centre Hall, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

He was born August 16, 1943 in Bellefonte, a son of the late Ray F. and Emma M. (Floray) Decker.

Harold was a 1962 graduate of Penns Valley High School, and a 1966 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College as a certified machinist.

During the Vietnam War he honorably served in the U. S. Army from 1967 to 1970. In Vietnam he served as a helicopter mechanic, earning the Vietnam Service Medal, the M-14 Expert Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.

He began his career with Sylvania Electric Corp in Warren, PA. He also worked for several companies as a machinist, before starting his own company, Precision Machining Services in 1988. Having had a deep interest in antiques, he later started selling antiques at Dairyland Antiques and Big Valley Antiques near Reedsville.

Harold loved the out of doors, and the mountains. He especially enjoyed guns and hunting, motorcycles, moto-cross, cars, photography, racquetball, fly fishing, and attending auctions. Harold had many loyal friends from his youth to the present that he enjoyed spending time with.

Surviving are two brothers, Donald R. Decker and Alan L. Decker (Joy) both of Centre Hall.

Friends will be received from 4 -7 on Sunday June 7, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be at 10:00 am Monday, June 8, 2015 at the funeral home with the Reverend Chris Korn officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Union Cemetery, Farmers Mills, PA.
