Pete is finally HOME! The air is somehow sweeter as we hear the laughter and hugs Pete and Jesus are enjoying now ... the birds' songs lighter as he now stands next to his beautiful Ruthie ... the sun's a wee brighter because he no longer yearns for the smiles of his brothers whom he adored (Johnny, Lee, and Sinney), his parents whom he cherished (Irma and Jake Zonge) and family he dearly missed ... and the sunset is radiating with his smiles as he once again enjoys his coffee with those friends whose hearts he sorely missed! A dear son, devoted brother, caring uncle, decorated war veteran, loving husband, a selfless teacher and mentor with a mind which thought like an aircraft engine, a loyal friend who knew no boundary, and a bigger-than-life hero to his daughter, Beverly (Zonge- Shuman). Because he tucked into his heart all who crossed his pathway, leaving them with love's gentle hand and his heart's unending smile, our lives were made richer, our steps were lighter, and our very being was loved! On Saturday, April 16th, 2011 statring at 11:00 a.m. we are going to celebrate Pete at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Home (1034 Benner Pike, State College). Please come and then join us for a reception at Cobble Creek Manor I (Clubhouse) 3296 Shellers Bend State College, PA., as we remember his heart.
