Dr. Harry Abell of State College died at Mt. Nittant Medical Center on Monday, August 7, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, and their four children: John Abell of Lynchburg, VA; Rebie Smith of State College; Sarah Melton of Evansville, IN; and Stan Abell of Indianapolis, IN; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 9th at the State College Presbyterian Church with Dr. Charles Curley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services PC. Memorial gifts may be made in the name of Dr. Harry D. Abell, Jr. to State College Presbyterian Church at 132 W. Beaver Ave., State College, PA, where he was a member.
