Harry R. Wolfe, 60, of rural Centre Hall died Friday, December 16, 2011, at home.
He was born May 6, 1951 in Bellefonte; the son of Joyce L. Workinger Wolfe of rural Centre Hall, and the late Eugene Wolfe.
Harry graduated from Penns Valley High school in 1969.
On July 12, 1975 he married Juanita M. Rider who survives at home.
Harry was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Farmers Mills; the Gregg Township Alumni Association, the National Farmers Organization of Ames, Iowa, and an honorary member of Nittany Farm Museum Inc; and a past member of Pomona and Progress Grange.
Farming was his life, but he also enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, Steelers Football, reading Western Books, tenting at Grange Fair, assisting family members with 4-H, FFA and band projects, and woodworking. He especially enjoyed his weekly trips around the farm with his family measuring crop growth and progress.
In addition to his mother and wife, Harry is survived by six children, Jason M. Wolfe and his wife Christina of Riner, VA, Nathan D. Wolfe and his wife Kathryn of Centre Hall, Kaleb R.Wolfe and his wife Krista of Centre Hall, and Emily M. Wolfe, Ethan J. Wolfe and Aaron W. Wolfe all at home; nine grandchildren, Evan, Erik, Trent, Brooke, Jack, Faith, Grace, Hope, and William Wolfe; three sisters, Darlene L. Wolfe-Confer and her husband Michael, Kathleen W. Lathbury and her husband Norman, and Linda W. Kneller and her husband Gene, all of rural Centre Hall; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 6 - 8:30 p. m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, and from 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011, until the time of the service at St. Johns Union Church in Farmers Mills. The funeral service will follow immediately at 11:00 a. m. at the church, with the Reverend Nathan Pile, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Johns Union Cemetery at Farmers Mills.
