Obituary

Harvey Geyer Bennett, 93, of Bellefonte, went home to be with his Lord, on Tuesday evening, August 21, 2007, at Centre Crest Nursing Center in Bellefonte.
He was born August 30, 1913, in Juniata, PA; a son of the late William Sellers Huston Bennett and Cora Kathryn Geyer Bennett.
From 1932 until her death in 1986, he was married to Louise Shore Bennett. On May 14, 1988, he married Martha Shirley O'Donnel Bennett who survives at home.
In addition to his wife Martha, he is survived by a son, Jack William Bennett; four grandchildren, Sharon Lynn Bennett Deci, David William Bennett, Paul Harvey Bennett and Lynda Jeanne Bennett Smith; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Lucille Bennett Hanson, and one brother James Warren Bennett; three step children, Patricia Bennett, Janice Davis and David Bennett; four step grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, a sister, Grace Naomi Bennett Cashman, and a brother, William Clyde Bennett.
Harvey graduated from Altoona High School.
Mr. Bennett was employed at Roher Electric in Niagara Falls, NY; and later as a paper maker for Kimberly Clark Corp. at Niagara Falls, NY and in Anderson, CA.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bellefonte. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and bowler, having been a member of several bowling leagues.
Friends will be received from 6:30 to 8:30 p. m. Friday, August 24 and from 2:00 to 3:00 p. m. Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will be at 3:00 p. m. Saturday, at the funeral home, with the Reverend Ronald Berrus officiating. Entombment will be at the convenience of the family, at Centre County Memorial Park, State College, PA
