Hassell D. "Bud" McMullin, 90, of Milesburg, died Monday, December 20, 2004 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. He was born on April 14, 1914 in Bellefonte. He was the son of the late Robert K. and Cordelia Strunk McMullin. On October 28, 1936 in Tyrone, he married Mildred Fogleman, who preceded him in death. He was employed at Cerro Metal for 44 years retiring in 1979. He was an avid sportsman, especially hunting, fishing and baseball. During the late 40's through the late 50's he played baseball for the Ollie Kohlbecker's team, Bellefonte Elks Traveling Team and the Milesburg County League Team. He later managed the Milesburg American Legion Jr. Team and the Milesburg County League Team. He was a member of the Bellefonte Elks Club, Clarence American Legion and the NRA. He is survived by a son, Hassell R. McMullin of Milesburg, a grandson, Jeffrey L. McMullin of Bellefonte, and a brother, Ralph McMullin of Milesburg. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28th from 10:00 to Noon at the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at Noon with the Rev. Donald Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at the Centre County Memorial Park.
