Obituary

Henry W. Breon, 73, of Outlook Pointe, Reedsville, formerly of Spring Mills, died Friday, November 26, 2004, at the Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown, PA.
He was born on November 26, 1931 in Gregg Twp., a son of the late Clarence and Bessie Decker Breon.
Mr. Breon was a 1951 graduate of Gregg Township Vocational School where he was active in the school band. He served in the U. S. Air Force after high school.
Henry farmed in Gregg Twp., then went to work for Neese chemical Company in State College, and later for Cerro Metals of Bellefonte. He retired from Rockview State Correctional institution after more than 20 years of service. After his retirement he worked part time for NAPA, and as a crossing guard for Centre Hall elementary School.
On November 25, 1951 he married Sara K. Ilgen who preceded him in death on Nov. 8, 2002.
Henry was extremely dedicated and gave countless hours of his time to Gregg Twp. Fire and Ambulance Companies and Centre Hall Fire Company, as well as the Centre County Fire Police. Recently he was awarded a plaque for being the oldest living member still associated with the Gregg Twp. Fire Company. He was also a member of the Central District Fire Association. He had served as an umpire for Penns Valley little league and for Penns Valley AYSL.
He was a member of the Gregg Twp. Alumni association and of New Hope Lutheran Church.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Mary K. Thal and Vicky Barner both of Spring Mills, PA; 1 son Randy H. Breon of Milesburg; 5 grandchildren. Shawn Henry Breon, Faith Hope Clinger, Joshua Barner, Randy Henry Breon Jr. and Misty Lou Overlander and 4 great grandchildren, Caden Matthew Breon, Nakisha Marie Breon, R. J. Clinger and Michael Overlander, and 3 sisters, Betty Strouse of Spring Mills, Katherine Snavely and Connie Smith both of Millheim, PA
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by, a daughter Leslie Jones, a brother Robert Breon and a granddaughter Debbie Breon
Friends will be received on Sunday November 28, 2004 from 2 -4 and 7 - 9 p. m. at Mark D. Heintzelman Fuenral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be at 2:00 p. m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2004 at the funeral home with the Rev. N. Gregory VanDyke and the Rev. Chester Marshall Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Heckman Cemetery on Heckman Cemetery Road, Rural Spring Mills, PA.
