Obituary

Henry M. (Bud) Henry M. Hanson, 95, uncle of Lane Snedden, of Centre Hall, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at the Fairways at Brookline in State College. Mr. Hanson was born in Minneapolis, Minn., a son of the late Henry S. and Julie Hanson. After graduating from West High School, he attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a double degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. Henry served in the United States Air Corp during WW II as a test and transport pilot in the Middle East. Henry was honorably discharged with the rank of Lt. Colonel. He went into business as a manufacturer's rep. In his later years, he enjoyed winters in Coronado, Calif. and summers at the family cabin in northern Minn. For several years, Henry resided with his niece, Lane, and her husband, Jack Snedden. He is also survived by his niece, Gail and husband, Jim Glass, and his nephew, Scott R. Thompson. His extended family includes his loving nieces, Jennifer Dingle and Dana Nugent and her children, Caroline, Melissa, and James and his nephew, Jordan Hanson; cousins, Lorraine Kessler, and her daughters, Signe and Dana, Paul Norby and his son, Dennis. A celebration of life service will be held Nov. 27, 2011, at the Fairways at 1:30 p.m. A memorial will be held this summer in Minn.
