Hilda Reese Rhule, 90, of State College died January 16, 2019 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
She was born May 12, 1928 in Port Matilda, a daughter of the late LeRoy Mossey Reese and Goldia Cowher Reese.
On June 8, 1946 she married George M. Rhule, who preceded her in death on September 18, 2010.
Hilda was a member of the Bethel Church of the Nazarene in State College.
She worked as a lunch aide for the State College Area School District, she then worked as a baker for Weis Markets until her retirement.
She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Her greatest love was her family and her church.
Surviving are four children, Denny (Gloria) Rhule of Waco, TX, Kathy (David) Obermeier of Pittsburgh, Karen (the late Ken) Noel of State College and Jim (Pat) Rhule of Houston, TX; one sister, Patricia Starck of State College; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Julie) Rhule of Waco, TX, Dana (Bukky) Rhule of Maplewood, NJ, Nate Johnson of Pittsburgh, PA, Andy (Afton) Johnson of Pittsburgh, PA, Aimee Haldeman of Harrisburg, PA, Julie (Steve) Czajkowski of Pittsburgh, PA, Jason Sims of Houston, TX, Colby (Kamie) Kline of Baton Rouge, LA, and Taylor Rhule of Houston, TX, nine great grandchildren, Bryant, Vivienne and Leona Rhule, Jaiyeola Nico Rhule Kolawole. Calleigh McCluskey, Benjamin and Lila Czajkowski, Drue and Dylan Kline one great great granddaughter, Emmeline Ann McCluskey and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband George, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenny; three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Monday, January 21, 2019 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College and Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 10:30 AM until time of the funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3601 S. Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801. Burial in Centre County Memorial Park will be private and at the convenience of the family.
