Howard T. Swank, 77, of Colyer, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was born March 4, 1935 in Endicott, NY, a son of the late Howard H. and Nellie Lindeman Swank.
On September 2, 1961 he married Virginia Neff who survives at home.
From 1957 through 1959, Howard served in the U. S. Army as a member of the staff and faculty of the U. S. Army Air Defense Corporation.
In 1963 he chose to continue his father's ceramic tile business, retiring in 2002.
An avid motorcyclist, he had a deep interest in Indian and Harley Motorcycles. He was member of Emmanuel Union Church at Tusseyville.
Surviving in addition to his wife Virginia, are a daughter Julia L. DePace and her husband Matthew; and grandchildren Emily and Nicolas, of North Hills, PA and a son Thomas B. Swank of Upper Georges Valley Road, Spring Mills. He was preceded in death by a grandson Dylan Thomas Swank in 2006.
