Ida B. Keller, 97, of Kylertown, formerly of Centre Hall, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Windy Hill Village, at Philipsburg.
She was born August 3, 1917, at Unionville, a daughter of the late John H. and Theodosia Bruss.
On July 3, 1934 she married Charles T. Keller who preceded her in death on August 11, 2001.
Early in life she worked at Owens Corning Fiberglass Company in Huntingdon and later did domestic work in the State College area, and assisted on the family farm.
Mrs. Keller attended Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall and was a member of the Linden Hall Garden Club.
Among the things Ida enjoyed most in life were quilting, sewing, embroidering, and reading.
Surviving her are one daughter, Barbara A. Mills (William) of Centre Hall, one son Barry T. Keller (Eileen) of Kylertown, six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son John E. Keller, and a foster daughter Ida Rose Keller; two sisters Minnie and Margaret; and four brothers, Lloyd, Grant, Gordon and George Bruss.
Friends will be received from 10 - 11 am Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will follow immediately at 11 am, at the funeral home with the Reverend Tina Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
