Isabel E. Witherite, 97, of rural Spring Mills, died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.

She was born November 29, 1915 at Pleasant Gap, a daughter of the late Harry E. and Della Swartz Breon. In 1933 she married Charles O. Witherite who preceded her in death June 26, 1970.

Isabel graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1932. She was a homemaker and devoted much of her life to her family and others needing help. Her compassion and caring led her to a nearly twenty five year career with Centre Home Care working as an aide and caregiver; retiring in 1999.

Mrs. Witherite was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at State College.

She enjoyed circle puzzles, reading and spending time with family.

Surviving her is a daughter Janice D. Shook of Rural Spring Mills; a son Raymond Witherite and his wife Donna of Lockport, NY; seven grandchildren, and many great and great great grandchildren all of whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Florence Zubler; a grandson; a great grandson; four sisters; and three brothers.

A memorial gathering in her honor and memory will be held at 6:00 p. m Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 101 Villandry Blvd. State College, PA

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA
