Obituary

Iva Yvonne Ripka Musser, 77, of Centre Hall, died Saturday April 9, 2011 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College.
She was born January 14, 1934, a daughter of the late Byers and Dorothy Miller Ripka.
Iva married Alvin W. Musser December 8, 1953, who survives in Centre Hall.
She attended East Penns Valley Schools and was employed at the Laurelton State School and Hospital for 14 years; and later at C-Cor in State College for 12 years, retiring in 1996.
Mrs. Musser was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Millheim. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed camping, riding snowmobiles, and loved animals especially dogs and cats. She was known for her cooking ability and frequently had a large container of homemade soup available.
Surviving her in addition to her husband are three sons; William Musser of Georgia, Charles Musser and his wife Sharon of Centre Hall and Shawn Musser and his companion Joyce of Lewistown; six grandchildren Austin, Devon, Chuck, Brandon, Mason and Abby; three great grandchildren, Karenza, Trent, and Rylin; two sisters, Ione McMullin of Atlanta GA, and Iris Yearick of Centre Hall; one brother Irwin Ripka and his wife Bonnie of Spring Mills.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Inez Wingard, and Isabelle Brindle; and one brother, Ivan Ripka.
Friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 p. m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, PC, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. A memorial service will follow immediately at 2:00 p. m. with family friend Edward S. Putt Sr. officiating.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the SPCA, 2551 General Potter Highway, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
