Jack L. Johnson, 80, of State College, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his residence.
Born on April 3, 1933 in Bellefonte, he is a son of the late Harry B. and Adelene (Weaver) Johnson.
He was preceded in death by a few days by his wife, Karin Johnson, on June 6, 2013 after 55 years of marriage.
Mr. Johnson honorably served our country in the military during the Korean War.
Jack worked and retired as an Electronic Technician for GE for over 35 years.
Along with his wife, he enjoyed water skiing, boating, camping, and snowmobiling. Jack loved his family and animals. He was also a first class member of the American Legion, Post 779.
He is survived by two brothers in law, Jergen Pagel and William Wagner; nieces, Petra Kriesten, Tanya Evans (Jim), Anita Corvin, Lori Lettiere (Jason), Lynn Rogers (Bruce); nephews Mark and Bill (Maggie) Wagner; and various great nieces and nephews;
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by three sisters, Alma Kelly, Jean Lingle, and Bobette Wagner; and one brother, Ronald Johnson.
Combined Memorial Services for Mr. and Mrs. Johnson will be announced at a later date.
