Obituary

Jacob E. Lyons Jr., 56, of Centre Hall, died Thursday, September 11, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Miles Township.
He was born March 22, 1952, in Bellefonte, a son of Evelyn Grove Lyons of Bellefonte and the late Jacob E. Lyons Sr.
On December 4, 1971, he married Karen M. Klinefelter Lyons who survives at home.
Jacob was a 1970 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. He worked for Graymont Lime Company at Pleasant Gap for nearly 37 years.
Some of the things he enjoyed most were spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, camping, and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs Sassy and Snickers.
He was a member of the former Weaver United Methodist Church; a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks in Bellefonte; a Post Member of American Legion Post 779 at Centre Hall; and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Burnham.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a son, Jacob E Lyons III and his wife Charissa of Centre Hall; three daughters, Angel Cain and her husband Jody of Spring Mills, Jennifer Cramer and her husband Travis of Petersburg; and Jessica Lyons and her friend Andrea Hannan of Centre Hall; five grandchildren, Tangie, Mikenna and Hunter Lyons of Centre Hall, and Allen and Ryleigh Cain of Spring Mills; five brothers, Paul Lyons of Milesburg, George Lyons of Bellefonte, Dan and John Lyons both of Howard, and Joe Lyons of Bellefonte; and one sister Rose Lyons of Centre Hall. Friends will be received from 1:00 p. m. until 3:00 p. m Sunday, September 14, 2008, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p. m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Myers Cemetery, Buffalo Run Road, Benner Township.
