James E. "Jim" Walker, 57, of Pine Grove Mills, PA, died Friday, November 25, 2005 at his home.
He was born January 7, 1948, in Bellefonte, a son of S. Stine Walker of Pine Grove Mills and the late Miriam Rimmey Walker.
Jim graduated from State College High School in 1965 and attended Point Park College in Pittsburgh.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Grove Mills and a social member of American Legion Post 245, State College.
Mr. Walker was employed as a painter by McWhirter Property Management Inc.(Parkway Plaza), who along with the residents of Parkway Plaza were extremely supportive of him during his illness. Some of his closest friendships were formed within the context of his work enviornment.
In addition to his father, he is survived by two sisters, Elaine W. Musser and her husband Frank of Petersburg and Judy M. Bollinger and her husband Gary of Pennsylvania Furnace; two brothers, Edgar S. Walker of Papillion, Nebraska, and Michael Walker and his wife Frieda of Charleston, South Carolina; eight nieces and nephews and sixteen great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Mills Cemetery, Pine Grove Mills, PA.
