Obituary

James J. Zettle, 72, of Spring Mills died Friday, July 11, 2014, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.

He was born April 16, 1942, at Spring Mills; a son of the late James E. and Romane Barger Zettle.

James was a graduate of Penns Valley Area High School

Mr. Zettle worked for Hanover Brands, later at Krentzman Supply, then worked for Piezo Kinetics in plant operations and maintenance.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles. He was a member of the Spring Mills Fish and Game Association.

Surviving Mr. Zettle are two sons, James M. Zettle and his wife Denise of Spring Mills and William P. Zettle of Frederick, MD; two sisters, Annette Wilson and her husband James of Centre Hall and Donna Witherite and her husband Raymond of Rockport, NY; and three grandchildren, Kyle J., Drew M. and Layne P. Zettle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Daniel P. Zettle and a brother Richard Barger.

Friends will be received from 4- 6 p. m. Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service P. C., 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. A memorial service will follow immediately at 6:00 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Brian Judy officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
