Jean I. Musser Houser, 84, of State College died Wednesday, December 12, 2007.
She was born July 22, 1923 in Centre Hall, a daughter of the late Steward and Grace Fye Musser.
On February 28, 1944, she married Russell J. Houser who preceded her in death on January 27, 1995.
Mrs. Houser is survived by a daughter Donna Wyland and her husband William of Jacksonville, FL; a son Ronald Houser and his wife Catherine of Bellefonte; one sister Connie Summers; four grandchildren, Sherry Floyd and her husband Patrick, Timothy Mellott and his wife Beth Ann, Dennis Houser and his wife Tracy and Amy Houser and Parris Smith; and six great grandchildren, Ryann Floyd, Parker Mellott, Dylan, Logan and Kennedy Houser and Olivia Smith.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Dennis C. Houser in 1954, and two brothers Phillip and Donald Musser.
Jean graduated from Gregg Township Vocational High School in Spring Mills. She was employed at Penn State University, retiring after 17 years of service.
She was a member of Spring Creek Presbyterian Church in Lemont.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2007, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park, at the convenience of the family.
