Jean J. Lingle, of Tusseyville, joined her late husband, Vinton H. Lingle and their Lord in Heaven, on Sunday August 12, 2007, at 4:30 a. m. She passed away at Mt. Nittany Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Jean and Vinton Lingle were married on August 16, 1947. Vinton preceded her in death on July 16, 1995. They had three daughters, Tanya Evans, married to James Evans residing at Tusseyville, Anita Corvin residing at Petersburg, and Lori Lettiere married to Jason Lettiere residing at McAlevey's Fort. She had four grandchildren, Christopher Evans and his wife Amy, Jeanine Page and her husband Don, David Corvin and his companion, Nichole, and Brandon Corvin and his wife, Ashley. Her grandchildren blessed her with five great grandchildren all of whom provided her with great joy. She is also survived by her sister Bobbette Wagner and her husband Bill of Carmel IN and her brother Jack Johnson and his wife Karin, of State College. In addition to her parents, Harry and Adeline Johnson, and her husband Vinton, she was preceded in death by a sister Alma and a brother Ron and her son in law David W. Corvin
Mrs. Lingle was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Tusseyville, the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, the Loyal Order of the Moose and American Legion Post 779.
She loved watching golf on TV and tirelessly enjoyed dancing. She was a seasoned hunter and fisherwoman. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and watching birds from her terrace and sunsets from her living room window. She was a staunch supporter of her grandchildren's softball team and never missed a game.
She was a valued employee of Cannon Industries for 40 years until her retirement in 2003. Since her retirement, she worked with her daughter Anita at Queen Anne's Lace Flower Shop in State College and with her grandson Brandon, at Doan's Bones at Centre Hall until her death
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Tusseyville Road, Tusseyville, PA, with the Reverend Gerald Krum officiating. Friends will be received in the fellowship hall of the church immediately following the memorial service, where lunch will be catered by her grandson Brandon, daughter Anita, and co-workers from Doan's Bones.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
