Jeanne Catherine Moore, 82, of Boalsburg died Feb. 10, 2012 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
She was born Jeanne Catherine Baer in Harrisburg, PA on September 29, 1929, daughter of Romaine and George Baer.
She married the love of her life Robert C. Moore on September 17, 1949, who survives at their home in Boalsburg.
She is survived by her children Robin Moore and wife Emerald, Mike Moore and wife Diane, Diane Price and husband John, Linda Gramley and husband David, David Moore and wife Fran. 11 grandchildren, Jesse and Rachel Moore, Katie Fisher and Nicholas Moore, Matt and Angela Price, Shane and Nathan Gummo, Paul Gramley, Amanda and Melissa Moore, and 4 great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Gummo, Evan Fisher, Evan and Payton Gramley.
She spent her childhood at their beloved cottage on Silver Lake in Lewisberry, PA and graduated from John Harris High School in 1946. She worked as an operator for the Bell Telephone Company before moving to the Centre Region to make a home with her new family in 1950.
While raising her children and grandchildren, she was an active volunteer for The State College Women's Club, Centre Community Hospital and for twenty-five years, she gave her time and love to the residents of The Laurelton School for Girls. In 1986, she received the Centre Region Volunteer of the Year Award.
Beginning in 1980, she and her husband established Native American Crafts on Main Street in Boalsburg, PA.
She was always able to see the humor in every life situation and was sincerely interested in sharing her time and talents with those who were less fortunate.
The family will hold a private memorial ceremony.
