Jennifer S. Guyer, 69, of State College died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 26, 2015 after a courageous two year battle with cancer.

She was born June 12, 1945 in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Naomi Davis. On March 16, 1974 she married Robert. B. Guyer who preceded her in death July 12, 2012.

Jennifer was a member of the State College Alliance Church.

She was a very loving and giving person who always put others before herself. Throughout her life she could be found volunteering her time with various organizations and events. She provided constant support for her children and was always willing to assist others in any way she could. Her journey with cancer may have slowed her down, but it did not conquer her spirit and she never let it defeat her. Her positive attitude and strong faith in God were an inspiration to others.

Jennifer is survived by her son Robert C. C. Guyer of State College and daughter Holly J. Siegel (Robert) of Ellicott City, MD; a half-brother Walter Hook and a half-sister Gloria Lee, both of Baltimore, MD; two young grandchildren, Julianna Joy and Robert Jacob Siegel plus numerous cousins and her spoiled cat Oreo.

She was preceded in death by her adopted parents Charles and Hazel Wink, and a brother Grayson Davis.

Friends will be received from 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, March 2, 2015 at the State College Alliance Church, 1221 W. Whitehall Road, State College, PA. The funeral will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Pastor David Hersh will officiate the service.
Burial will be private at the Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury Township, Bedford County, PA.
