Jennifer "Jenny" L. Markle, 48, of Lemont and more recently Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in State College, died, Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.

She was born February 10, 1965, in Bellefonte. Her parents are James "Hoss" A. Harpster and Kathy L. Fogleman Harpster who survive at rural Spring Mills.

Jennifer graduated from State College Area High School and the CPI Cosmetology Program in 1983. In 2004 she graduated from the CPI Certified Nursing Assistant Program. She went on to attend South Hills Business School in State College.

Jenny enjoyed painting ceramics, helping to show horses; and was a naturally compassionate, care giver. Spending time with her granddaughter Olivia, who was the light of her life, was what she cherished most.

Surviving Jenny in addition to her parents and granddaughter Olivia; is one daughter, Stacy M. Markle of Bellefonte; two sons, Robert L. Markle Jr. of Bellefonte, and Joseph J. Markle of State College; three sisters, Debra L. Weaver (Kevin), Karen French (Louis), and Jennifer S. Stover (Roger), all of Centre Hall, a special cousin, James A. Hillard of Bellefonte; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death, were her grandparents, Roy K. and Pearl Flack Fogleman; and a very special aunt Virginia Flack-Skof .

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday, August 12, 2013, at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA. Burial will follow in Centre County Memorial Park.
